Congratulations To Our 2024 Montana School Counselor Of The Year, Elizabeth Clark

The Montana School Counselor Association is pleased to announce Elizabeth Clark, school counselor for Irving Elementary and Bozeman Charter School, as the 2024 Montana School Counselor of the Year. 

Liz is described as someone who embodies the principles of the ASCA national model in her daily work. Her school counseling program is meticulously aligned with the model, delivering impactful classroom lessons, small group sessions, and individual counseling to support the academic success, social-emotional well-being, and career development of all students. Liz's empathetic approach, coupled with her exceptional communication skills and resourcefulness, enables her to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff alike, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration within the school community.

Nominees are scored on the following criteria:

• Evidence of use of the American School Counselor Association National Model to develop a comprehensive program
  

• Evidence of characteristics or qualities demonstrating leadership
  

• Evidence of innovation and originality within school counseling program
  

• Evidence contributing to student achievement and enhancement
  

• Dedication to the profession and membership to MSCA
